Friends and Time 2026

Friends have always been an essential part of life, so here is a tribute to our friends. They help bear witness to our lives and the time we share. I also include some memories throughout life.

We have categorised songs and music into several groups, and here you can listen to a few of the selected tracks. The remainder are now housed in a private area. This relates to copyright and intellectual property considerations.

Lyric

Verse 1
When we were young the world felt far and wide,
Every little road became a ride,
The trees stood tall like mountains in the sky,
And every dream could teach our hearts to fly.

Verse 2
Back then the days would never really end,
We always had our chosen friends,
We played pirates, police, and hide-and-seek,
Running wild through every summer week.

Chorus 1
Do you remember summer in the rain,
Running home and going out again?
We thought the world would always stay this way,
Young forever in another day.

Verse 3
Then teenage years came rushing through the night,
Curious hearts chasing every light,
Every song we played would fill the air,
Making every moment feel so rare.

Bridge 1
We stopped saying, “Do you want to play?”
Now it turned to, “Can we meet today?”
No mobile phones lighting up the night,
Only house-line calls and cozy lights.

Chorus 2
And every conversation felt so true,
Sitting outside long past half past two,
No endless screens stealing all our time,
Just restless hearts learning life outside.

Verse 4
The internet was barely even there,
No perfect lives pretending everywhere,
We learned by walking side by side at night,
Finding who we were beneath the lights.

Verse 5
And looking back it’s strange to realise,
How small the roads now seem before my eyes,
The places that once felt so far away
Now feel close enough to touch today.

Bridge 2
Some friends stayed close while others moved along,
Some disappeared like words inside a song,
But every face and every passing year
Still left a little memory here.

Chorus 3
Here’s to the nights we thought would never fade,
To every promise that we thought we’d made,
To every laugh still echoing somehow,
Living softly in our hearts right now.

Verse 6
Some friends appeared for only little while,
Some could always bring us back a smile,
And some were never meant to truly stay,
But every one still shaped the way.

Bridge 3
Now the years move faster than before,
One day closes while another opens doors,
Still somewhere deep beneath the changing skies,
The child inside us never dies.

Chorus 4
So if tomorrow takes us far away,
And pulls apart the people from today,
I know the past will always leave a sign,
Like old streetlights glowing in the mind.

Verse 7
So here we stand with older hearts tonight,
Still carrying those younger dreams inside,
And though the years keep drifting with the rain,
True friendship always will remain.

Bridge 4
And when the quiet finally fills the air,
I’ll still remember every moment there,
The world grew smaller as the years moved on,
But those old days are never truly gone.

Notes

The idea of creating music began several years ago when we were asked to produce a number of introductory pieces for a company that needed music to present its different departments as part of a virtual online presentation.
A team was assembled for the project, and we have continued to collaborate virtually ever since. Our music, songs, and the full production behind each track are created through cooperation across several countries. We find it exciting to write songs and produce music, and over the years this work has grown into many hundreds of compositions.
The music is the result of cross-border collaboration. Our singers come from the Philippines, Singapore, Copenhagen, and the United Kingdom, while our sound engineer is based in Vietnam, alongside musicians from several other parts of the world.
We hope the music brings happiness. Communication can take many forms, and much can be expressed through song lyrics. Above all, it is something we truly enjoy creating.

We write about many different subjects. However, it is important to emphasise that none of our content is intended to promote any political or religious viewpoint. We remain entirely neutral and simply describe situations as we experience and observe them.
